BYD Collaboration: Integrating Drones with Electric Vehicles
In March 2025, DJI partnered with electric vehicle manufacturer BYD to introduce "Lingyuan," a vehicle-mounted drone launching system. This integration enables drones to take off and land from a moving vehicle, offering new possibilities for dynamic aerial photography and videography.
The system includes a DJI drone, likely the DJI Air 3S, and a roof-mounted hangar that charges the drone when docked. Priced at approximately $2,197, the Lingyuan system is currently available exclusively in China.
